Prior to joining the College Football Playoff in 2019, Daniels served as the Chief Operating Officer for the Atlanta Super Bowl LIII and CFP National Championship host committees from 2017-19. In that role, he led all aspects of host committee operations with Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the 2018 CFP National Championship, while providing strategic oversight of operations, finance, marketing, sponsorships, communications, special events, volunteer management and community relations for the Super Bowl. As Deputy Director of Athletics at Georgia Tech from 2014-17, Daniels led the department’s external relations efforts, including communications, marketing, ticket and sponsorship sales, fan experience, public relations, graphic design, digital media, video and broadcasting.

Before his time in Atlanta, Daniels spent 25 years with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, ultimately as Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Brand Management. In addition, he also served as the Co-Executive Director of the North Texas Host Committee for the 2014 NCAA Men’s Final Four, while helping administer the 2011 Super Bowl and the 2015 CFP National Championship. Daniels holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in television and radio broadcasting and an MBA, both from Southern Methodist University.
